Since 1982 at a very your age I’ve built up the recognition as one of the well know brands  within the wedding and events industry shades discos offered mobile Discotheques and as the years went by we started to offer more and more services adding in extra lighting. Both event lighting and garden lighting as we are based in the garden of England and most parties we do are within marquees and private gardens what better way to impress your guests with colour changing trees up lite hedges and colour washed buildings adds a real wow factor as most parties your always have guests that just want to chill out in the great outdoors.

When planning a party its good to use things you already have within the home and garden you can build a chill out space covering your seats and chairs with throws and colored drapes.

Old jam jars with tee lights with wire handles hung in and around your trees will give a easy lighting option for your chill out area cheap and effective.

Owner Shaun Easton and his team at Shades Events dressed the main ball room with 24 led battens around the edge of the room and on all the window ledges controlled via our DMX lighting computer  system giving us complete control over the lighting in the room at the touch of a button, on our touch screen the room would colour change manually or run sound activated.

We then placed in each corner of the room a P-R 575 moving head with our logos and Gobo’s to project onto the main ceiling of the ball room with stars and color’s and   changing shapes projected all over the ceiling with beams of light hitting the chandeliers the colours were amazing a real wow factor using the house lights like a mirror ball.

For the main Discotheque system we installed our bespoke sound system with its array horns and mid top packs with W bins for the bass.  This amazing sound system standing just over 6ft tall has a 5k output and is as clear as can be we had many complements on the sound and lighting saying how it was so much better than last years.

The main Discotheque lighting was also P-R moving heads with 4 x 250 pilots, 4 x 300 pilots, and 4 x 150 pilots, all hung on our truss system overhead on two VMB winch stands at a height of 4 meters . The main stands holding up the lighting rig where inclosed with scrim king covers that hide all the metal work of the stands. Behind the covers were LED Par cans that color washed the scrims turning into its own light show that was hiding all the cables and rigging. Behind the DJ we rigged a 8 meter by 4 meter full RGB LED star cloth giving more depth to the room .

With a fast fold 8 x 5 projection screen hung in front of the star cloth for video graphics and the display of all the photo’s taken by the Party Paparazzi live on the night

plus with a video feed to Big Ben at midnight as the bells chimed in the new year we had the best start to 2012 one could have.

As we run a multimedia Discotheque with live video feeds and The Party paparazzi showing every thing on our Large Screens, these people  have been caught by our party paps gate crashing our party, but as its Christmas and they where well behaved and where unhappy with there DJ not playing there requests after asking him a number of times to play there requests.

I was happy to play there tracks as it was in keeping with the music of our party.

I will say that the feeling in the room on Saturday was buzzing everyone was up for a party and we had a full floor all night finishing with the boys from Thames Port singing im forever blowing bubbles with the aid of helium gas from the balloons from the tables, once again this was caught by our paps on video and has been up loaded to YouTube and has had over a 100 hits in the first 2 hours of us posting it up on the net today

With Black Jack And American Roulette Tables the stakes were high with large bet’s placed and screams of joy but no tears as the money was Fun Money, with the person with the most chips at the end of the night cashed in with the banker won a Large Bottle of Champagne.  So well done Ben who was the winner on the night once again the Party Paparazzi Where there to capture the fun.

celebrating 21 yrs this years party had the X Factor with special guest singer Stephanie Murray singing two sets over dinner then staring the party with some all time great songs to get any party started backed by shades events sound team at the end of Stephanie set she left them wanting more to a standing ovation.

Then it was our turn to take the party into the wee small hours of Sunday morning playing some great classic disco tracks but then there was a change in the music ending up with some street dancing body popping and some hip hop classics and R&B but then the photos taken on the night tell the story.

For any one checking in to Eastwell Manor that night if where car lovers and like Ferrari ‘s had i a nice treat as in the main entrance court yard was a great display of Ferrari cars and inside the main house of the hotel where some great sculptors from GUY PORTELLI VPRBA, ARBS.

Each year the Ferrari owners club choose a charity to raise funds for and this was the choice of The Children’s Trust
